This past Wednesday was "Peace Day" for all schools. Even though peace is not a one day thing, we have been reflecting on how our actions can affect those around us, and how we can bring peace to our world even in the easiest of ways. Because of this, we thought about our "Pledge for peace", and we discussed about what makes a person a peacemaker or peacebreaker. We also made lots of colorful decorations to put around the school to brighten everyone's day.
Lastly, the whole school participated in an awesome function held in the school's playground, were the winners from each course read their beautiful poems and we sang a very cheerful song. We had such a great time!
Este pasado miércoles fue el "Día de la Paz" en los colegios. Aunque la paz no es cosa de un único día, hemos estado reflexionado sobre la manera en que nuestras acciones afectan a los que tenemos alrededor, y cómo podemos traer paz a nuestro mundo con los gestos más simples. Por esto, hemos hecho nuestro "Compromiso por la paz" y hemos debatido sobre qué hace que alguien rompa la paz, o haga la paz. Además, hicimos un montón de coloridos adornos para decorar nuestro cole.
Por último, todo el cole participó en un acto genial donde se leyeron las poesías ganadoras del concurso, y cantamos una preciosa canción. ¡Nos lo pasamos genial!
